NEW LENOX HOUSE

HISTORY
New Lenox is a beacon for paranormal activity. This area is filled with creeks, rivers, limestone, and quartz, all of which conduct energy and aid in the paranormal. New Lenox is also near Blackhawk War grounds and the Joliet Prison, both suspected of hauntings.

After some research I discovered this single family residence is located in a very interesting location. About a mile to the North is the New Lenox Fire Station #2. This Fire Station is rumored to be haunted by two firemen. Both died in a vehicle accident on their way to a fire. One of these accidents was one block from this residence. Sanctuary Golf Course is a couple miles South of this residence. Native American Indian bones were found while the golf course was being built. Read the story here.
CLAIMS Items being moved such as a coffee cup in kitchen could end up in garage or keys out of place. Shadows are seen shooting from the bedrooms to the kitchen, low to the ground or high near the ceiling. |
One of the homeowners saw a huge shadow near the ceiling in the kitchen which covered the kitchen light and cast a shadow. This figure looked like it had a gown or shredded clothes on. Shadow figures are often described like this. A feeling of being watched. One family member claims there is a man named Bob she talks to in her room and that Bob’s family died in a fire. He hides when people come in her room. A child apparition has been seen in one of the bedrooms. Cold spots, especially in one bedroom despite vents being checked. Light bulbs constantly going out despite fuse box being replaced and checked by an electrician.
THE INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATORS PRESENT
Joe, Cyndi, homeowners, two family members, and a surprise guest investigator named Pete. Joey was sick and Coco stayed home to keep him company.
OUR EVIDENCE
We wanted to check out the claim of a large shadow figure being seen in the kitchen blocking out the light. Joe stood in front of the kitchen light while Cyndi was in the bedroom where the incident was originally viewed from. Joe was nowhere big or tall enough to block out the light. The shadow figure must have been huge.

The first clip is the homeowner and a family member. His flashlight goes out. Then he talks about the room being cold and after he says "Are we invading your privacy?" he gets a comment about the cold room. We think this sounds like a child. A child spirit has been seen in this room.
THE INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATORS PRESENT

The second clip is Joe and a family member. They leave the audio recorder on the bed and leave the room. He gets a small EMF spike on the Mel-Meter. We didn't get anything on the Mel-Meter the entire night. It was 0 the whole night so this small spike, which normally I would not think was paranormal, could be something. You can hear Joe's voice in the distance and two loud knocks in the room. There was nobody in the room at this time. This is the room where Bob is seen.
The third clip is Cyndi alone in the room. First you hear a loud knock then Cyndi states she could hear it too. This is the room the child was seen in.

Video #1. An orb comes into the room, hovers, and leaves in a different direction. The first flashing orb moving left to right is dust but the second larger orb moving right to left we do not think is dust. Dust cannot hover. Video #2. You will see dust orbs around the room. Then a strange floating "line" cross the screen from left to right. We are undecided what this is but it doesn't appear to be dust. Watch on YouTube.
HAUNTED HUMOR No spirit voices, only humorous investigators!

We shut off the heat during the investigation to prevent evidence contamination.
We set out toys for a child spirit to play with, a train and snowman with a Minnie Pearl hat. Why do the guys leave the room without picking up their mess? After they leave the room, two orbs fly over the toys, probably bugs not paranormal, but cool anyhow. Watch on YouTube.
