HISTORY
This residence built in the early 1960s is located in the Chicago suburbs and has a single residence on the main floor, an apartment on the second floor, and an apartment in the basement. A woman was known to have died in the kitchen of a possible heart attack, near the phone, unable to call for help. This has been confirmed by a relative.
Some disturbing facts about the town of Alsip - On July 9, 2009, it is alleged that four workers at Burr Oak Cemetery dug up more than 100 graves, dumped the bodies into unmarked mass graves, and resold the plots. Three men and one woman were charged with one count each of dismembering a human body and as of August 2011 are free on bond awaiting trial. Read the newspaper article here. Burr Oak Cemetery is about 1.5 miles from the residence we investigated. There are five cemeteries on the border of the village of Alsip and three within the village.
CLAIMS
Some claims at this house include a chair moving on it's own, the name of the owner being whispered by an unknown voice, shadows seen, the tv turning on and off, a "grandpa figure" seen, full-bodied apparition of a man, being touched, footsteps upstairs when nobody was home, and unusual pet behavior.
An interesting claim came from a friend of the owner who was staying in the house at the time of the incident. She was home alone one evening when she heard a knock at the back door but found no one there. This continued through the evening. Her daughter arrived home. When the knocking occurred again they both went around either side of the house and met at the door, not finding anyone in the vicinity.
Another incident happened when the previous occupant was packing boxes to move, left to answer the door, and came back to find the contents of the boxes she just packed, were unpacked.
The owner states he does not feel uneasy in the house but he does feel the spirit that may reside there looks out for his well being. He is content to share his residence with the unknown spirits and live in harmony with them.
THE INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATORS PRESENT
Joe, Cyndi, Joey, homeowner, and two guest investigators. Unfortunately Coco couldn't make it - the homeowner had a cat.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
The first time Joe went into the basement he had a feeling described like putting his finger in a light socket. The previous occupant also described having this same feeling in the house.
One of our guest investigators felt her hair being touched in the basement. Listen to the audio clip.
OUR EVIDENCE
We had two instances of an EMF spike. Once was in the basement with Joe, Cyndi, Joey, and a guest investigator. The MEL meter was 1.1 and the K2 meter lit up. At the end of the this audio clip, the guest investigator sees a shadow.
The second time was in bedroom #1 with Joe and the homeowner. The MEL meter was 2.6. Listen to the audio clip.
We used an Android app, Ghost Radar, in bedroom #2, the homeowner's bedroom. We did not think this device would be reliable but we got a relevant word, income. The homeowner recently got a new job. The reliability of this app is still up in the air.

AUDIO
The first clip was taken in the kitchen, the room where a woman died. Joe will ask a question then you hear a woman's voice answer uh-huh. The rest of the clip is further evidence of a spirit trying to make contact when the audio recorder light flashes on and off.

The second clip was taken in the basement. You will hear footsteps upstairs, then our investigator confirming she heard them. Every person in the investigation was present in this room.
The third clip was taken in bedroom #1. Joe asks a question then a couple seconds later, if you listen very carefully, you can can hear a faint couple words but we can't make them out.
The fourth clip was taken in the basement. Joe asks a question, then a few seconds later at the end of the clip you hear a faint yes. I find that I can hear this better on my recording. I'm disappointed it didn't come through on the upload.

You can see the light better with a full screen. We have concluded it is not dust because we saw plenty of dust in the basement and this was different. It emits light in one spot, then disappears. It is not headlights because we saw headlights on the video near the ceiling in a different spot numerous times. Watch on YouTube.
