A Window to Another World
Could ley lines be a window to another world?  One theory is that UFOs travel through a wormhole where these energy lines meet and use the lines for navigating the earth.  Could the energy created by these invisible lines aid in intergalactic travel?  Sounds like an episode of Star Trek.

What do we know about ley lines?  They are a crack in the earth's tetonic plates.  Through this opening magnetic energy is released.  Here is a place aliens could harness the energy to run their space ships in a way mere humans do not understand and use it as a road map.  It is a known fact animals such as pigeons and whales use these lines to navigate.  This is a probable theory but let's plot famous UFO sightings on the ley line grid map and see for ourselves.
Roswell, NM, UFO capitol of the United States is in green, Sedona, AZ, vortex capitol of the United States is in red, and the Battle of Los Angeles in blue.  These three are right in a row near a ley line.  Hudson Valley, NY, in purple and Washington DC in light green are both near a ley line.  The Bermuda Triangle in yellow is right in the middle of ley lines.  Stonehenge, England in pink and Belgium in light blue are both next to a ley line.  Giza, Egypt, in brown also near an intersection of ley lines.  Out of all the ley line grids I have completed on cryptids, spirits, and now UFOs.  This one is the most convincing.  Every place I marked on the map falls near a ley line.

Is there a Stargate right here on earth leading to a world parallel with ours?  I hope there is a scientist checking into this.  With the price of gas these days we sure could use wormholes for travel instead of a gas/money guzzling vehicle.

"Now it is that time of night,
That the graves all gaping wide,
Every one lets forth his sprite,
In the church-way paths to glide."

Shakespeare

Ley lines are Paths of the Dead
_Did Shakespeare know something that is now lost in the past?  Ghost are often seen in the same area "walking the same path."  Could these paths be ley lines?

Many old churches and burial mounds were built on ley lines.  Washington DC is thought to have been built on ley lines so it could draw from the natural energy, in turn making it a powerful city.
Some cultures such as the Laos dispose of a corpse by delivering them in a straight line to the burial site.

Native Indians made perfectly straight roads connecting villages and religious sites, despite cliffs, mountains, and rivers in their path.  Chaco Canyon, an Anasasi site in New Mexico, is a good example.  They built stairs over canyon walls to continue their roads.  It seems like we've lost this knowledge.  I think the Indians knew something that has vanished from mankind.

But what happens when a structure is built over these lines?  This might explain why some spirits are seen walking through walls.

Dowsing rods are used by ghost hunters to detect these places of energy.  In the paranormal community it is thought that spirits need energy to communicate with the living.  Can they get this energy from ley lines?

I will use the Ley Line Grid Map to mark the most haunted places in the world.  The Isle of Wight is thought to be the most haunted island in the world.  It is an island off the Southern part of England and is marked in red.  Windsor Castle, England, is marked in light blue.  Edinburgh Castle, Scotland, is marked in blue. The Bird Cage Theater, Tombstone, Arizona, is marked in orange.  Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, Colorado, marked in green.  Villisca Axe Murder House, Iowa, marked in yellow.  Lizzie Borden House, Fall River, Massachusetts, marked in purple.
The Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa hit the nail on the head and the haunted sites in Europe make an impressive cluster but factoring in the other haunted sites, the evidence is inconclusive.  Are ley lines a hotbed for spirit activity or could the events that happened in that particular location make a haunting more likely?

Unless we discover ancient knowledge that has been missing from our past about the correlation between ley lines and spirits, for now it is just a theory.

There is a theory that cryptids are more likely found near a vortex or ley lines.  Can these magnetic anomalies host these elusive, bizarre creatures?

On Brad Meltzer's Decoded - the Devil's Graveyard, he briefly mentioned this theory.  I thought what a great blog article!  After doing some not-so-informative research, I've found there is hardly anything published on this subject so I've got my work cut out of me.

For those who are not a paranormal nerd like myself, I will first explain what cryptids, vortexes, and ley lines are so you know what the hell I'm talking about.  A cryptid is a creature that is thought to be seen but it has not been proven it exists such as Bigfoot, Chupacabra, and the Loch Ness Monster.

A vortex, in this context, is a spinning spiral of energy located at various spots around the world.  Ley lines are associated with vortexes.  These lines are a crack in the earth's tetonic plates which forms a straight line.  Magnetic energy is thought to escape from these lines.  I believe a vortex is where ley lines intersect and spiral into a vortex.

The obvious answer to locating a hotbed for cryptids would be to map the sightings to see if they correlate with ley lines and vortexes.

_I used a common ley line grid chart and started with bigfoot, searched the BFRO, and located the top states with sightings in the United States.  Washington won the most sightings by far, next was California, Oregon Ohio, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and Michigan.  My own Illinois?!  That's a future blog.  I then included Yeti sightings, most of which are found in Nepal and Siberia, and the Yowie in Australia.  These are all marked on the map with a red square.

Next up is Chupacabra with sightings in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Texas marked in green.  The Loch Ness Monster found in Scotland in blue.  Orang Pendek in Sumatra in orange.

The winner would have to be Orang Pendek right in the middle of 3 crossing lines, with Nessie in a close second where 2 lines intersect.  The rest of the cryptids do seem to hang out near ley lines but it's hard to say this is an actual fact.

It is thought animals, such as pigeons and whales, use ley lines for migration and navigation.
Is this proof these elusive creatures also use the lines as a compass?

Why would cryptids be attracted to these magnetic hotspots?  Do they want to be close to their "highways?"  Ancient people such as the Maya Indians constructed their trade routes along these lines.

Do the ley lines make them happy?  People flock to Sedona, Arizona, to experience the many vortexes in the area.  They believe energy lines exist on multiple dimensions in this area.  I have been to Sedona three times and it is my favorite travel spot.  Not only is it the most beautiful place on earth, in my opinion, but while you are there it does indeed make you feel in awe and take your breath away but is this feeling vortex energy or the beauty of the red rocks?

Another theory is energy vortexes are a portal to another dimension.  This would explain why Bigfoot is so hard to find.  He can just cross over into another world to escape prying eyes.

I think it will be a long time before we really understand what ley lines are all about.  For now it's a theory with no evidence to back it up.
