Boo Book Review - Abduction by Dr. Paul and David Hartman

I became aware of the Kindle book, Abduction, from Dr. Paul, someone we follow on Twitter.  Dr. Paul is a mental health therapist who sees patients that have had paranormal experiences.  He has written a Kindle series of different paranormal books, along with these patients.

In a nut shell, Abduction is about a man who is abducted by aliens, his experience on board the spaceship, and encounter on another world.  It is a short and easy read.  I actually read this on my android phone in a matter of hours over a couple days.

It's not only a story of extraterrestrials but a moral story as well.  David ends up on another world for over a year and because of his experiences on earth, wrecks havoc on an unsuspecting species.  Goes to show you, earth is not a nice place.

Whether you believe David's story or not, it's still an interesting story with a great message about man kind. 

I liked this book but wanted to know more information like what happened to David after he returned to earth, more in detail, and how is he now?  This experience must have had a huge impact on his life.  Have they discovered anything in his body that the aliens altered, cured, or implanted?  What about the clothes he returned in?  They were from a substance not found on earth.  What more proof do we need that aliens exist?  There was a short question and answer with David at the end of the book but I felt there should be a current follow up.

When Dr. Paul told me about this Kindle book, it was free for the weekend, but only $0.99 otherwise.  I went to the Amazon website a couple days ago and it said you can't download it in the United States but checked today and it's free again.  Not sure what the deal is but I hope we can continue to download in the U.S. because I would like to read more books in the series but for those outside of the United States, I would recommend it.

Ghost Gear - The SpecterCamCorder

Our latest paranormal equipment purchase was The SpecterCamCorder, a full spectrum hand-held camcorder found at SpecterCam which is operated by Bill Murphy of the TV show Fact or Faked.  I was very excited to try out my expensive new toy and we did at a home investigation. 

I'm going to tell you why I like this camera in plain terms.  There are many technical aspects that I honestly I don't have a clue what they mean on SpecterCam's website if you are an equipment nerd.

This camcorder is small and light weight.  You could fit it in a coat pocket.  This is great news for your tired arm during a long investigation.  I used the camera off and on for four hours and not once did my arm get tired.

It records in HD.  Who doesn't want HD? The screen is a touch screen and can be moved in about any direction and is easy to use.  It has a 3x digital zoom and a remote control.  This camera also takes still shots and has an audio recorder.

The power source is a lithium ion battery, fully charged got us about 4 hours of record time.  It can also use AAA batteries!  Only a paranormal investigator could have thought of this.  Camera's dead, no need to waste an hour charging it, just pop in some batteries.

The camera has 3 built in IR lights which can be turned on and off!  Awesome news but I would recommend external lights as well.  With only the onboard lights, it creates a limited screen view but with external lights it lights up the whole screen.  Huge difference.  SpecterCam also sells a mini IR light which I also bought.  It's small, uses AAA batteries, and comes with a velcro strip that easily mounts to the front of the camera door.

2 SD cards will get you up to 8 hours of recording time!  The camera can be hooked up to your TV or computer and comes with all the cables to do this.  I easily downloaded our recordings onto my computer.  It uses Quick Time Player and comes with a CD to download it to your computer.

It comes with a tripod mount and a carrying case.

Bad things about this camera.  Hardly anything.  The audio recording was not very good.  You would have to be right up on the microphone to get an EVP and the microphone is in a place where you would likely have your finger and could accidentally cover it up.  I really couldn't hear anyone not near the camera very well and there was a lot of static.  I could only play this video format on the Quick Time Player.  It will not play on Windows Media Player.  If you buy the pro version of Quick Time, you can probably change the format.  If you have screen capture software, you should be able to record a clip.

I am very happy with the full spectrum camcorder, only disappointed in the audio.  Because of this I give the camera 4 and 1/2 spirits.

UPDATE:  8/28/12  We have been using this camcorder for months now and although I like the quality of video I hate how bad the audio is and am downgrading this to 3 spirits.  We have a normal camcorder and have no problems with the audio.  I'm going to try to add a microphone to the full spectrum and see if that helps.  Here is an example:

Ley Lines - A Hotbed for UFOs? Part Three

A Window to Another World
Could ley lines be a window to another world?  One theory is that UFOs travel through a wormhole where these energy lines meet and use the lines for navigating the earth.  Could the energy created by these invisible lines aid in intergalactic travel?  Sounds like an episode of Star Trek. 

What do we know about ley lines?  They are a crack in the earth's tetonic plates.  Through this opening magnetic energy is released.  Here is a place aliens could harness the energy to run their space ships in a way mere humans do not understand and use it as a road map.  It is a known fact animals such as pigeons and whales use these lines to navigate.  This is a probable theory but let's plot famous UFO sightings on the ley line grid map and see for ourselves.
Roswell, NM, UFO capitol of the United States is in green, Sedona, AZ, vortex capitol of the United States is in red, and the Battle of Los Angeles in blue.  These three are right in a row near a ley line.  Hudson Valley, NY, in purple and Washington DC in light green are both near a ley line.  The Bermuda Triangle in yellow is right in the middle of ley lines.  Stonehenge, England in pink and Belgium in light blue are both next to a ley line.  Giza, Egypt, in brown also near an intersection of ley lines.  Out of all the ley line grids I have completed on cryptids, spirits, and now UFOs.  This one is the most convincing.  Every place I marked on the map falls near a ley line.

Is there a Stargate right here on earth leading to a world parallel with ours?  I hope there is a scientist checking into this.  With the price of gas these days we sure could use wormholes for travel instead of a gas/money guzzling vehicle.
